There are a few places - Site 1
Take the path up from the car park and barn to the main ride which goes right through the wood N-S and take the first track on your left into a patch of pine; past the pines you reach a meadow on the left and then a similar distance along you reach a pine plantation on the right which has been cut-back about 50m; once the path starts to close in you will notice some 15ft blackthorn bushes around and then you come to a couple of cut-ins going into the blackthorn thicket on the right. This is BLH territory - up along the top of the bushes and rarely coming down for too long. If you reach a Private Property sign on a fence on the left - you've gone 50 m too far!
Sites 2 & 3 are up the main ride past the elevated seat at the x-roads; about 1/2 way up just where the land rises a little you will find 2 tracks of trodden grass on the right eventually leading to 2 clearings in the middle of the thickets. The first is about 20m in, the second about 60m - look for yellow dormouse tags on the trees going in to the wood - line 1250 leads to clearing 2. On the OS map 1:25000 series about the top and bottom of the blue "18" on the map. Getting there when the sun is out and it is not too windy is the key!
